To a New Year

Hi everyone. I did not forget about this blog :). I've just been preoccupied with life. Yes, life happens. This will not make up for my absence but it will show you that I have not been neglecting my nails (pinky swear). Remember when my nails were this long?

As you've noticed, I've been on a huge indie kick as of late. It sure doesn't seem to show signs of stopping... at least not in the near future anyway. I hope you all aren't getting tired of it as I have about a billion more indies to try out. They are literally popping up left and right, I'm not sure I can even keep up at this point! Franken Friday: A Charcoal Grey Glitter Bomb

Hello all! How are we doing today? It's been a while since I had any frankening experiments, so today, I decided that I would give it a go. I used leftover glitter from a craft project way back in the days. Here are the results!

the bottle to fight my mani for the camera's attention =P.

She's so sparkly!

This was 2ish coats that I "dabbed" onto my nails as opposed to swiping (what I do with normal polish). Not gonna lie, it was a PITA to work the glitter around but once there was good coverage on the first coat, the second coat pretty much filled in the empty spaces. I topped it off with 2 coats of gelous to even any bumps and a single coat of Seche Vite. GUYS. I could not capture the crazy sparkle of this polish on camera. Guuuh, she's so puuuurdy. I kept catching the holographic glitters out of the corner of my eye all day. And these pictures were in gloomy weather. Eep! If the sun was out, I think I would've died. So what do you guys think? I don't have a name for it yet... maybe you all can help me out with that =D. I was also considering including this one in my upcoming giveaway but not sure how many people want to deal with hungry fussy glitters. Hrmm... I will think about it. 4 Special Polishes From Canada

From the title you can already tell that what I have for you today will be quite unique. I guess I'm glad that I do all those lazy weekend posts because they seem to be offset by huge posts like the one I'm about to do today. Well actually, this post is primarily gonna be pictures. You see, I loooove looking at pictures! Sometimes when I read blogs, I don't even read them. Yep. Guilty. I just scroll through and admire the pictures. That's why I always like putting in a healthy dose of pictures for you guys! Half of you are probably skipping over these very words... hahah!

So what I have to share with all you lovelies is a special package I received from a wonderful Canadian blogger. You totally need to check out her blog - nailXchange - it's filled with all kinds of goodies any lacquer lover would appreciate. I surprisingly won her last 'Name It & Win It' contest and ended up with some ridiculously amazing polishes. Polishes that were actually frankens - original creations by the amazing beauty herself!  *sigh* How did I get so lucky?? Also, because I thought there was no way in HECK I would ever win said prize, I went pretty out there with the names. You'll see what I mean... and no, I was not under the influence of anything when I was thinking of them... teeheehee.
