A Delicate Grey Layering

Semi-lazy weekend post for today! OPI My Pointe Exactly and Pahlish Typewriter Keys from Shannon's etsy shop.  I think this might be one of my favorite layering combinations -- check it out!

I cannot believe how amazing this combo turned out!
Check out the pics below for MPE on its own

I took these pics last night without intending to
post them but they actually turned out pretty nice!

The amazing thing is that this was only 3 thick coats of MPE to achieve full opacity (contrary to the ridonkulous 6-8 coats that I've heard around the interwebs ><). It is so pretty on it's own! The additional perks of self leveling and an extremely forgiving formula make it that much more amazing. Can you believe that I didn't even have to do clean up on the last two pics?! That is cray cray. You may have also noticed that I filed down my nails -- GUYS, I was freaking out! My nails were the longest they've ever been in my entire life. That's nuts... I kept thinking they were going to break somehow so I filed them down. Glad I did because I am much happier at this length =D. So what do you guys think? Gonna give OPI Ballet Collection a chance? Gonna hoard some Pahlishes while you're at it too? Hehehe, have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Franken Friday: A Charcoal Grey Glitter Bomb

Hello all! How are we doing today? It's been a while since I had any frankening experiments, so today, I decided that I would give it a go. I used leftover glitter from a craft project way back in the days. Here are the results!

Pics below are with a black polish because I didn't want
the bottle to fight my mani for the camera's attention =P.

Crazy bunch of charcoal grey glitter!

These are pics without flash on a gloomy day... so cool!

She's so sparkly!

This was 2ish coats that I "dabbed" onto my nails as opposed to swiping (what I do with normal polish). Not gonna lie, it was a PITA to work the glitter around but once there was good coverage on the first coat, the second coat pretty much filled in the empty spaces. I topped it off with 2 coats of gelous to even any bumps and a single coat of Seche Vite. GUYS. I could not capture the crazy sparkle of this polish on camera. Guuuh, she's so puuuurdy. I kept catching the holographic glitters out of the corner of my eye all day. And these pictures were in gloomy weather. Eep! If the sun was out, I think I would've died. So what do you guys think? I don't have a name for it yet... maybe you all can help me out with that =D. I was also considering including this one in my upcoming giveaway but not sure how many people want to deal with hungry fussy glitters. Hrmm... I will think about it. Until then, have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend! Thanks for reading lovelies! <333

Armed and Glittery!

Hello hello one and all! Let's get right into it, shall we? Today I have a special little combo mani for you guys. The base polish is from Essie's Spring 2012 Go Overboard Collection -- Armed & Ready. It's a fabulous taupe/grey color with brown undertones coupled with some beautiful copper/gold shimmer... 3 coats here but it could have been completely opaque in 2. I finished it off with a multi-sized gold glitter polish from a Japanese brand called Winmax in color #8.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend to boot! Thanks for reading lovelies! =D

You see what I did with the title there? =P Sooo, two things for today's post:
1. It is raining cats and dogs here!
2. It's baaaaaack... the lazy weekend post, that is! On to the pictures!

This was Zoya Harley with a matte top coat and a glitter gradient using China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara. Happy Sunday, folks!

Matte Grey + Blue Sprinkles

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've done a matte mani so I decided to pull out the matte top coat and put it to good use =). Today I've got on Maybelline Cool Couture as my base polish. Cool Couture is a limited edition polish that I believe came out some time in the Fall of this year. I did about 3 coats for good coverage. My glitter was actually done using a Japanese polish called Winmax in #10. This was actually found on one of my crazy nail polish adventures I previously blogged about. Pictures ahead!

I was told this looked like a dark chocolate
cupcake dipped in blue sprinkles lol

So that is actually NOT the original polish bottle that the Winmax #10 came in. They came in a much smaller sized bottle and I bought two because it was so pretty. I then just went ahead and poured both into an empty bottle I had lying around and just transferred the labels. I did this with several of the other small polishes I had as well ^^. Anyway, that is all for today. I hope you all have a fabulous Friday. I am SO ready for the weekend!

Rivka Holografico Jenny

Hi everyone. So guess what? I'm sick. =( Sooooo sick. I have been for the last several days and I still am uggggh. I've been trying to get some rest and drink some meds but nope, still sick. I didn't want to go TOO long without posting so here is a very special polish I recently received from an absolutely wonderful friend from Brazil.

Oh man, she is sooooo pretty <3

This is one of my most favorite charcoal grey holographic polishes ever! I really love it. I hope I get over this soon because it's no fun to be feeling all out of sorts lately. Hopefully it'll get better ASAP! I'm supposed to go to Palm Springs with friends in a couple days! >_<  Lol, crossing my fingers for the best here. Thanks for reading you guys!
