Neutral Floral Stamping

Hello ladies! It's been such a long time since I've done any stamping so I decided to revisit one of my favorite designs for today's mani. My base color was OPI Samoan Sand -- an awesome nude jelly very close to my skin tone. The stamping was done using Sally Hansen White On with Bundle Monster plate BM-221.

Not much else to report today other than it is absolutely beautiful outside! Go and enjoy the weather everyone. Hope you all have a fabulous Monday and thanks for reading! <3

Cosmetic Arts Mystery Blue

Hey ladies, how are we all this evening? With all the recent fustercluck of activities that have been happening on teh internetz and real life, I felt the urge to do a simple and clean mani. I got this polish a couple days ago at Ross of all places. It's a magnificent blue. I have nothing like it in my stash. Behold the brilliance of this blue beauty.

It's even prettier in person. This polish had a jelly finish that was completely opaque at 3 coats. I freaking love it. I have no clue what the name of this Cosmetic Arts polish is but for a $1.99, I wouldn't care if it was called Stomp on Puppies... I'd still buy it in a heart beat. Thanks for reading everyone. Have a fantastic Thursday!

Purple Jelly Flakie Gradient

*peeks in* OHAI GUISE. It's been a million and one years since I've written a new post! How have you all been?? Welcome new followers, I'm so happy to see all your beautiful faces =D. Finally back home and settled in from vacay. It's about freaking time! Apologies for the delay as my nails were seriously janky from all the luggage hauling and traveling. They needed a bit of rest and relaxation time too =P. Anyway, how about we get right back into it yeah?

As you can imagine, coming back from that long of a trip, my nail mail was pretty much piling up towards the ceiling. One of my newest babies included Verity Deep Violet which was used as a base here. Three coats of squishy purple jelly perfection. Omnomnom, she's gorgeous!!! I then did a gradient on my tips with Essie Shine of the Times. As always, tons of pics ahead...

There are several variations of the red-orange-green flakies but I found Shine of the Times to be perfect for building up a gradient because of how dense the flakies are. There was a bit of thickness on the tips due to all that polish layering but some Gelous and Seche Vite usually seems to take care of that problem. This look kinda reminds me of fire-y embers... a lit-from-within type of glow... you know what I'm talking about? No? Okay. No worries. Just nod and stare at teh prettiez with me =).

In other news, all that nail mail got me so excited that I somehow managed to stab myself in the left thumb with a gigantic pair of scissors . All I can say is, imma lucky mofo that it didn't hit any of my picture taking fingers =P. Alright you guys, hope this was good to come back to after my mini break from blogging. Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

Nostalgic Lacquer Pizzazz

I'm going to hit you all with a bright pop of green okay? Okay! Here's Nostalgic Lacquer Pizzazz layered over some green jellies. Some squinting might be necessary =P...

The base polish for my index and ring was New York Summer Hot Green and my middle and pinky was New York Summer Amaranth. Everything was topped off with one coat of Pizzazz and a matte top coat. Talk about bright, right?! Thanks for reading everyone. Hope the start of your week has been a good one!

Autism Awareness: A Blue Jelly Sandwich

Hi everyone. As some of you may know, April is autism awareness month with April 2nd being World Autism Awareness Day. The color blue and the puzzle piece symbol have been widely recognized as support for raising autism awareness. There are many of us out there with loved ones who have one form or another of autism. In my own personal support for autism awareness, here is a blue jelly sandwich creation I came up with for today.

This was 4 thin coats of Essie Marshmallow, 1 coat of Icing Disco Ball, and 1 final thin coat of Essie Marshmallow.  This is my first official jelly sandwich and I must say that I am quite pleased with the results. If you are interested in showing your support for autism awareness, you can sport a blue ribbon or wear a puzzle piece pin throughout the month of April. Thanks for reading everyone! Have a lovely week.

Pink Wednesday: A Layering Combo

So ever since it came out, I've been lemming Butter London Disco Biscuit buuuuut I don't really want to shell out the moolah to get it. What's the next best thing? Layering. Oh yes, here we go.

An extra pic in the sun!

I used 3 coats of Revlon Desire, a fuschia jelly which I got for a dollar at Big Lots and single coat of NYX Maven, an iridescent blue/pink glitter which I also got for a dollar at my local beauty supply. It's not an exact dupe but $2 >>>> $14, no? Oh, but I will still get my hands on Disco Biscuit. Yes, I will. =D

NerdLacquer Outed By a Probot

Hello hello! Some of you may have heard of the brand NerdLacquer, some of you may have not. Either way, I know everyone reading this out there can appreciate a beautiful polish when we see one right? Well, today I have one of Amanda's very special creations to proudly display. This one is called Outed by a Probot and I love it =). One of the prettiest baby blue milky jellies I own...

So soft, so delicate, so freaking COOOOOL! This was 3 coats and it applied very smoothly even with all the glitter. Amanda has (more than) a handful of other polish creations that you can check out at her Etsy shop. Not only is she creative, she is the sweetest person EVER. Quality polishes and fantastic service, what's not to love?! It's really hard not to get them all!  In addition to the awesome colors, they come with the most awesome names! Oh yes, this is right up my alley -- nerds for life!!! Happy Friday everyone ^_^

It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

Okay, so I lied. It's only jelly time. No peanut butter here... only because I couldn't find any in the house today ><. What is jelly time you ask? Weeeeell, today's mani is Revlon Victorian from their somewhat recent Just Tinted Collection. From what I am aware, these polishes were only around for a limited time and this was actually the only one I saw at my local Walgreens. These polishes all have a really fun jelly-like finish which can best be described as squishy. Yes, squishy! See below ^_^

Behold, the squishyness factor!

Left: indoors, Middle: shade, Right: sunlight

These all came in shades of pink and red so I'm not too bummed I couldn't get them all. If you ever have a chance to snatch them up though, definitely go for it! They are a fun look and are perfect for "jelly sandwiches." I will attempt to do a jelly sandwich mani in the near future with some other jelly polishes I've recently acquired. Till then, thanks for reading and have a wonderful week everyone! =D
