Jade Vermelho Surreal & Mystic Gold

I'm sure most of you fellow polish addicts have heard the buzz about the awesome new Jade Holografico polishes from Brazil right?? (<-- wow that was a mouthful!) Today's post will feature two of the more unique shades from their collection. Let's take a look! Both of these were taken in direct sunlight with flash.

One coat of Jade Holografico Vermelho Surreal

Had to add an extra pic of this indoors with flash
This is how it looks most of the time. A gorgeous vibrant red <3

Two coats of Jade Holografico Mystic Gold

Aren't they gorgeous?? C'mon, who's heard of a true red and/or gold holo before? Exactly! One of the best things about these holos is that they aren't the special kind that need an aqua base (like Nfu Oh's, Laylas, Gosh, etc). I applied both of these polishes without a top coat for maximum holographic blingy-ness. Dry time was pretty good! They were soooooo pigmented you guys! I still have several from the rest of the collection that I can't wait to try out. So, do you own any of the new Jade Holograficos? Planning to get some soon? You should! =D Thanks for reading lovelies!

Going Greek

If you've read my blog for a while now, I think you might've noticed that I have a thing for gold flakie top coats. I really tried to stop myself from getting another, but yeah... obvious fail. Oh well!!! This mani reminds me of a Greek toga party. Dejavu? Yes... this mani I did previously also reminded me of one. I think I may just be itching to go to one. Hrmmm *plots* =P. My base here was OPI Don't Touch My Tutu (horrible name but hey, WHAT'S NEW OPI?!) and the gold flakes were American Apparel Meteor Shower.

OMG, this mani was THICK. Heeeeck, it was "only" 8 coats (1 base, 4 DTMT, 1 Seche Vite, 1 MS, 1 SH Insta-Dri) but my coats of DTMT were super thick due to my huge aversion to visible nail line (kill it with fire!!!). I'm pretty sure I'll be denting this some time soon but I'll try to enjoy it while it lasts! And oh yes, Meteor Shower had curling flakes. Damn the curling flake/glitter problem! I am shaking my fist at you, curling glitter gods! Whatever though, I made do. Love gold top coats too much to be too bummed about it. I am however, pretty bummed that this 18k gold flakie top coat from Sephora by OPI costs an arm and a leg. D= Whyyyyyy?!??! Guess I'll have to go working the streets to come up with that kinda money. Anyway, I think I've already rambled too much. As always, thanks for reading guys. Have a wonderful Thursday!

A Summer Gradient

I know this isn't the weekend but I am going to make this a lazy post because 1. I can (bahahaha) and 2. I spent quite a bit of time writing another post. The contents of which are detailed here and also in the new "Nail Care" tab up top. I've gotten lots of questions regarding nail care and figured it was time to write a little something something about it. I hope it helps you girls! But I digress, continuing on with this post...

This was three coats of Essie A Crewed Interest for the base and a gold gradient using Color Club Enchanted Holiday (a mini). This made me look really tan. I love it. Summer time, here I come!

Dandy Nails Wingless

Hey everyone, hope all is well on your side of the world. I'm lazy today. So a lazy post it will be. Lots of pictures as always though -- that makes up for a lack of flowery descriptions and excessive rambling, right? It better. =P

One coat of Dandy Nails Wingless over a couple frankens
Below are shots of the frankens on their own

Index and ring: a periwinkle with silver shimmer
Middle and pinky: a dusty teal with silver shimmer

As you've noticed, I've been on a huge indie kick as of late. It sure doesn't seem to show signs of stopping... at least not in the near future anyway. I hope you all aren't getting tired of it as I have about a billion more indies to try out. They are literally popping up left and right, I'm not sure I can even keep up at this point! Anyway, time to mosey on with my lazy self. Happy Thursday. =)

Vampyness With a Touch of Gold

Guys, I dunno what's up with me but I seem to be on a gold kick. Last time it was gold glitter on top of Essie Armed & Ready and now it's gold flakies on top of Wet n Wild's Ready to Pounce. Why does that name sound so familiar? Oh, because it was from last year's Halloween collection... and of course I only first got to try it out today!

Vampy shades are excellent for this kind of weather, I think. I was gonna wish you all a Happy Hump Day but I just realized it's only Tuesday. Whaaaat?! Why is the week going so slow? But then again, tomorrow it'll be February already. Enjoy the rest of your week everyone and thanks for reading!
