Happy Friday everyone! I haven't done any Konading in a long long time so I figure I should break out with it again. My skills were rusty so it honestly was a little difficult to get back into the stamping groove =). Anyway, here are the results. I used another CQ polish today called Slate for my base color. Slate is a dark teal that leans green and was opaque in 2 easy coats. I am really loving all these CQ polishes! They are absolutely affordable as well so if you have access to them, I highly urge you to get some =). My stamping of course was done by my favorite go to green - China Glaze Cherish! I always seem to use this color when I stamp with greens hahah. Excuse me for the bad stamping job, as you can tell I need to be stamping more to get this right! >_<

All you have to do is squint and it'll look alright! =P

It kinda reminds me of peacock feathers in a way hahah. The image plate I used was from the second Bundle Monster pack and it was number BM212. I should probably head back into the Konading world so I could brush up on my skills again =P. Alrighty everyone, hope your week has been going well. Until next time, thanks for reading and have a good one!

An Awesome Deal & a Mini Haul

Hello beautiful people! I feel that it is my duty to tell you all about this almost too-awesome-for-words deal that I just recently discovered. Aveyou Beauty is currently having a 50% off promotion on the KGB Deals website right now. If you've never used KGB Deals before, it's very similar to groupon. Anyway, this deal gives you 50% off your purchase of $50. Yep, only $25!!! Buuuuut, that's not all. Aveyou is also having a 15% off deal with the code FIVE AND only $1 shipping with a $50 purchase. HOLY HECK!!! To put this into reference terms, it'd be like buying 7 OPI's for ~$25 bucks when they would normally cost ~$60!!! Umm, that's a little over $3.50 for each OPI. UNHEARD OF. And that's only OPI - there's also Essie, SpaRitual, and a ton of other beauty brands!

Knowing me, I would totally splurge on all the continuously new polishes that are coming out so this deal is AMAZING. I am totally saving this for the all the holiday collections! To say that I am excited is an understatement hahaha. You guys, you all have to get this. Now. You can click HERE for this fabulous deal!!! I think there's only a several days left before it disappears. Don't say I didn't warn you when you all want to splurge come holiday time.  I know I'll be uber happy considering all the limited edition polishes that will be coming out soon =P...

OPI, Essie, CND, SpaRitual and mooooooore! (Source)

Okay, now that I've got that off my chest, I'd like to share an itsy bitsy haul that I accumulated a couple days ago. Like I mentioned previously, I went on a little nail polish hunting adventure and discovered some brands that I had never heard of before. Here are a few of the more unknown polishes I got on that little trip.

Aren't the bottles first three bottles a little strange
looking? Lol... the polish caps are huuuuuge!

Here's a swatch of the middle polish. It's a black
creme with tiny holographic specks of glitter

L to R: Winmax #10, Winmax #9, Winmax #12, Ruby Kisses Aurora City,
Ruby Kisses Black Hole. You can click to expand!

These bottle were all just $1 so I really couldn't resist haha. I got them all at hole-in-the-wall mom & pop type shops that were tucked into little corners around my neighboring cities. I also got the CQ polishes on my adventure too but they are considered a bit more common than these brands. Winmax #10 is an aqua blue glitter, Winmax #9 is a Kelly green glitter, Winmax #12 is (as mentioned above) a black creme with tiny holographic glitter, Ruby Kisses Aurora City is a dark teal with silver flakes & microshimmer, and Ruby Kisses Black Hole is a navy blue with silver flakes & microshimmer (almost has a Essie Starry Starry Night look to it).  Have any of you out there heard of these brands or colors before? If so, how do you like them? And don't worry, I'll be featuring these polishes in the future, I'm sure =).  Till next time my lovelies! <3

Double Glitter French: CQ Silver Violet + Sinful Colors Frenzy

Hello all you lovely people out there.  Don't forget to enter my giveaway which ends on October 15th! Click here or on the sidebar for more details. =)

The other day I went on a little nail polish hunting adventure and stopped by several stores in my area to see if there were any hidden treasures I had yet to discover. Sure enough, I found several brands that were unknown to me until that very trip. Today, I am featuring a brand called CQ that was found at my local Rite Aid drugstore. The base color I used is called Silver Violet (how original lol) and my glitter accent was actually done with Sinful Colors Frenzy (which I have already reviewed in a previous post here).  The double French stripe that I did is actually like the design I featured in this post but with glitter instead of just regular nail polish colors. These little glitter details are great when you don't want to have a full on glitter mani but still like some pop and sparkle on your tips!

I'm a sucker for pretty purples

Left: indoors, Middle: shade, Right: sunlight

Silver Violet is a lavender creme with tiny silver and iridescent purple shimmer specks. If you look closely enough, there are even small bits of silver flakes that show up when the light hits it juuuuust right. Of course, this is me being super duper observant but hey, it's the little details right? =D Sinful Colors Frenzy is polish that is packed with tons of blue and purple glitter that's perfect for blinging up any mani. I think with the flash in these photos, I can't help but feel that I have slight lobster hand syndrome lol. But maybe that's just me being paranoid!...

So my nails have gotten pretty long lately. I think this is the longest it's been in a while and I am very tempted to chop all that length off! Still contemplating whether I should nubbinized them or try a different shape. I have done squoval and square. Wondering if oval or even stiletto nails would work? Ooooh, the possibilities. I'm probably just gonna leave them like the lazy bum that I am until they get on my nerves lol. Gotta be careful they don't get too long and break though! Anyway, I hope you all had a fabulous Labor Day weekend... welcome back to the regular week! =D

V French Stripes: Zoya Marina + China Glaze Millennium

Hot dang, I am back! Goodness gracious, my busy week is finally over. It has been so hectic for the past few days that I haven't had time to do much of anything! But all is well now and I am officially back to blogging... yay! So before I start with today's post, I'd just like to give a quick reminder to everyone out there that my 100 follower giveaway is still going on and you can still enter all the way up until October 15th, 2011. Click here for more details!

Onto today's mani... what I have for you is another scotch tape mani using two colors. My base polish was Zoya Marina from the current Fall 2011 Smoke and Mirrors Collection and China Glaze Millennium from the Fall 2009 Khrome Collection. Marina is a beautiful dark blue gray with silver microshimmer. The base polish actually has a slight streaky look to it that may show very minimal brush strokes but nothing that is bad in my opinion. Millennium is a popular silver mirror/chrome/foil color that has been around for quite some time. It dried extremely quickly! Please don't mind the outgrowth in my nails. I had this mani on for almost 5 days! Yes - I was that busy, no joke.

For some reason, this mani gives off a "Wonder Woman" type of vibe =P

This is the base polish, Zoya Marina, by itself

I really like this mani but going on 5 days is already way too long for me hahah. I can't wait to take this off and put on a fresh new coat of polish! I wonder what color I shall choose hrrrmmm.... so many choices! Anyway, it's good to be back guys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend =).
