Lesbihonest, I Want You to Look at My Glittoris

Bahahaha, why yes, I am a 12 year old child. But then again... this is more along the subject of adult content so by default, that would technically make me an adult =D. I will keep telling myself that. Two manis for Pink Wednesday people!

Pahlish Glittoris - The name was proposed by Shannon's husband
This is pure gold. Gold, I tell you! Visit Shannon's Etsy shop here

A sexy matte "feuhschcia" as ManGlaze calls it
LOL, they are brilliant!

I love them both! Glittoris is a pink based polish with a crazy amount of holographic, red, and fuchsia colored glitter of various shapes and sizes. This includes both square and bar glitters! Not for the faint of heart but c'mon, with a name like Glittoris, what do you expect?? Lesbihonest is a gorgeous matte fuchsia polish that's umm... freaking gorgeous? I don't really know how else to describe it. I think the pictures have already taken care of that for me =P. And can I just say... I absolutely *love* the ManGlaze bottles! Their labels are pretty dang creative too. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff though =P. Anyway, enough of my babbling! Thanks for reading guys and Happy Hump Day ;).

Pink Wednesday: KBShimmer Berry Patch

Hello all. Before I begin today's post I'd just like to have a mini vent.  Don't you just hate it when a polish comes in a trio or pack of some sort and you are forced to order the entire pack if you want that single polish? And I get that there is really no way around it when it comes to buying from retail brands but my personal issue was with a private seller. There was a polish from an indie seller on etsy, of all places, that I wanted to purchase from -- but it came... in a pack. Now I've had such pleasant interactions with every single indie seller up until this point. Every etsy seller has been so accommodating with custom orders since it is a personally run business after all. And I'm all for supporting small businesses! However, that was not the case with this seller. When I contacted her, I was informed that it was simply impossible to sell the polish alone since it came pre-packaged in a pack. Seriously? Okay, I get that you don't want to sell it individually because you also want to profit from selling the other two lame polishes but as far as being impossible to sell it alone because your stock is already pre-packaged? What. How. Uhh... okay. Don't you mix these by hand? And package them -- by hand? Unless all the labor that goes into your polish shop is done by robots. Then that would be awesome and only then would it be a valid, nay, kickass, excuse for having pre-packaged stuff! I will not name the seller but c'mon now, way to drive customers away from your business. Geez Louise. Looks like I will be crossing this etsy shop off my list forever. You are dead to me. Ugh. Sorry guys, this is usually a happy place for pretty things but sometimes, something like this happens that just makes you want to wrinkle your nose and scrunch your brow and maybe even kick a poor soul or two, know what I mean? Okay, thank you for letting me have my moment! I'm usually a pretty optimistic/happy person but that was just not cool. /endrant (I guess that wasn't such a mini vent after all, sorry!)

Onto much happier things! It's Pink Wednesday y'all =). And as such, today I have for you a gorgeous polish from an etsy seller who was an absolute pleasure to do business with. This is Berry Patch from KBShimmer. Pictures first, shall we?

Christy's description says it best: "A creamy pink base sets off large blueberry hex glitter, small raspberry hex gliiter, holographic pink glitter and micro strawberry red glitter and raspberry pink glitter. Bits of ice, in the form of holographic sliver glitter complete this yummy treat."

This was 2 thick coats with an additional 2 coats of gelous and Seche Vite to finish it all off. I am so happy I have polishes like this to brighten my day =). If not, I think I would have to seriously karate chop a B. Thanks for reading and humoring me guys. Have a lovely day!

Pink Wednesday: A Layering Combo

So ever since it came out, I've been lemming Butter London Disco Biscuit buuuuut I don't really want to shell out the moolah to get it. What's the next best thing? Layering. Oh yes, here we go.

An extra pic in the sun!

I used 3 coats of Revlon Desire, a fuschia jelly which I got for a dollar at Big Lots and single coat of NYX Maven, an iridescent blue/pink glitter which I also got for a dollar at my local beauty supply. It's not an exact dupe but $2 >>>> $14, no? Oh, but I will still get my hands on Disco Biscuit. Yes, I will. =D

Pink Wednesday: Zoya Areej + Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana

Aside from the atrocious name that is Hannah Pinktana, I quite like today's Pink Wednesday mani. It's a straight forward one today, folks. A nice thick single coat of Zoya Areej, a fuschia creme which leans more pink/red than purple, and two thick coats of Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana.

Taken in the sun with flash

Bottom two pics were taken directly in the sun with no flash.
It seems to lean more towards a purple hue when there's no flash.

Hannah Pinktana looks actually pretty purple when compared
to Zoya Areej... Areej was a nice base color for it though.

Without a base coat of Areej, it probably would've taken near 4 coats or more of Hannah Pinktana only because the glitter is so sheer.  Hannah Pinktana is still a beautiful color on its own though, I just didn't feel like applying it by itself. The pretty mini holographic sparkles give a nice touch to this otherwise toned down pink. Happy Wednesday people!

Pink Thursday

Hehehe, so I haven't had a free Wednesday in a while to be able to do a Pink Wednesday theme but I figure since I had on Honolulu Orchid, I'd make it a Pink Thursday instead! I just layered the top with China Glaze's Lightning Bolt! It looks pretty awesome if I do say so myself. I know the crackle craze has really died down now but this is a cute little reminder of why it was once oh so popular. =)

Black Mesh, Broken Hearted, Crushed Candy, Cracked Concrete, Lightning Bolt

I wasn't very interested in any of the metallics or shimmery looking crackles/shatters for some reason. I dunno... just the way they look. Not my thing. Oh well... enjoy!

Neon Pink Wednesday

What I have for you today is a super neon pink polish from China Glaze's Summer 2010 Poolside Collection. It's the ever-so-popular Flip Flop Fantasy! My camera seriously spazzed out when I tried to capture the crazy neon-ness... I could've sworn it was glowing in the dark too!

Taken in the shade. It was glowing, I tell you!

Indoors. Even my camera had to squint hahah

 In direct sunlight - amazeballs!

Left: indoors, Middle: shade, Right: sunlight.

There couldn't have been a more appropriate color for the summer =P. Woohoo! Middle of the week is almost over -- I can't believe half the year is almost over even!  Enjoy polishing, ladies ^_^.

First Pink Wednesday!

So it's my first ever Pink Wednesday post and I've been contemplating about what kind of mani I wanted to do. I came across Chloe's blog and found this awesome funky french tutorial using scotch tape and I thought I'd give it a go but put my own little twist on it! I used Let Them Eat Rice Cake from OPI's Japanese Collection - I think it's an older polish because it still has the thin brush. I then topped it off with Seche Vite and waited a couple minutes for it to dry. I cut my scotch tape and used Zoya's Lolly polish from the 2011 Mod Matte Collection to give it an interesting look. I hope you guys enjoy!

 These were taken indoors.

I tried to take outdoor shots but it's been so gloomy so I apologize
for the craptastic lighting! I will try to make a lightbox soon =)

I think my thumb actually looks best because I was lazy and just
kept reusing the same piece of tape over and over again hahah!

I think this went well! Next time, I'll just cut new pieces of tape for each nail so the lines can be more crisp. Overall though, I really enjoyed doing this mani and hopefully I can use scotch tape to do other ones in the future!  My first Pink Wednesday is complete =)

Thank you to these two beautiful ladies ^_^
