Hello ladies! It's been such a long time since I've done any stamping so I decided to revisit one of my favorite designs for today's mani. My base color was OPI Samoan Sand -- an awesome nude jelly very close to my skin tone. The stamping was done using Sally Hansen White On with Bundle Monster plate BM-221.
Not much else to report today other than it is absolutely beautiful outside! Go and enjoy the weather everyone. Hope you all have a fabulous Monday and thanks for reading! <3

Happy Friday everyone! I haven't done any Konading in a long long time so I figure I should break out with it again. My skills were rusty so it honestly was a little difficult to get back into the stamping groove =). Anyway, here are the results. I used another CQ polish today called Slate for my base color. Slate is a dark teal that leans green and was opaque in 2 easy coats. I am really loving all these CQ polishes! They are absolutely affordable as well so if you have access to them, I highly urge you to get some =). My stamping of course was done by my favorite go to green - China Glaze Cherish! I always seem to use this color when I stamp with greens hahah. Excuse me for the bad stamping job, as you can tell I need to be stamping more to get this right! >_<
It kinda reminds me of peacock feathers in a way hahah. The image plate I used was from the second Bundle Monster pack and it was number BM212. I should probably head back into the Konading world so I could brush up on my skills again =P. Alrighty everyone, hope your week has been going well. Until next time, thanks for reading and have a good one!

All you have to do is squint and it'll look alright! =P

Konad Storage
So I'm sure all you polish lovers out there own plenty of Konad/fauxnad image plates and we all have our various ways of storing them. Here's one possible way you can keep your Konad stuff organized and still have the convenience of viewing a bunch of plates at a time and pick one of your choosing.
What in the world is this??
Due to my OCD tendencies, I put together a folder and reinforced it with a
little cardboard for sturdiness and some scrapbook paper for prettiness =)
You can click to enlarge the photos and see how I put it together. There are
quite a few plates I haven't used yet as you can tell with all the blue stickers hehe
You can get an idea of how thick and sturdy the actual folder is here.
I used one of those flimsy little book report folders that usually sells for 10 cents at any stationary store and just glued cardboard and decorated it with scrapbook paper and a few cut out lettering from magazines. I just attached 3 baseball card storage sleeves and slipped them into the rings like a 3-ring binder. Of course it's much less bulky using this folder but you still have a great way of storing your plates without having them scratch against each other or take up unnecessary room in a CD case. The best part is that you can add (or take away) more sleeves at your choosing - totally customizable, definitely up my alley. For reference, I own the second Bundle Monster pack, the Mash image plates, and about 6 or so GCOCL plates. Sooo... 3 storage sleeves can hold a lot! And since the folder is super flat, it can go great anywhere - even under your bed to hide your polish obsession from those who may think you're a little crazy. =P

Floral Mauve Design
So I gave the Konad/fauxnad plates another try and while it didn't turn out perfect, I must say I am quite pleased! I was contemplating what color combination I should use and finally decided on some type of pink/mauve/pastel burgundy mix. I used Uptown Girl. a dusty mauve from Color Club's Spring 2010 Rebel Debutante Collection as a base. For stamping, I used Admire, a light pink silver-ish color from China Glaze's Spring 2009 Romantique Collection. I also used image plate BM 221.
These were all taken in direct sunlight.
These were taken in the shade.
I didn't think I'd like Uptown Girl at first because looking at the color itself in the bottle seems kinda flat to me. But when I painted it on the nail, it just looked gorgeous! I would totally wear it alone. I bought Admire and almost all the other China Glaze polishes from the Romantique Collection specifically for stamping because I heard they are a little streaky on their own. Either way, the color is fabulous and the designs came out (for the most part) great! I love this =)
*Sigh* So pretty!
It is has been absolutely beautiful outside lately. Go enjoy the weather everyone and Happy Friday! <3

My First Konad Design
My Konad packages finally arrived! I decided to try out my first design and of course it had to be the leopard print! I opted not to get the Konad special polishes so I could first experiment with some regular polishes I already own but now I think I will invest in some... the black isn't as dark as I'd hoped. Anyways, onto the pictures.
Just as I was about done with my nails, something TERRIBLE happened... Oh, the horror!!!
In the shade. I used China Glaze's Lemon Fizz &
For Audrey along with a Cosmetic Arts pink color.
In the sun. I had a hard time working fast enough!
Anyways, this will probably come off by the end of
tonight haha. I will probably be ordering the Konad
special polishes soon so I could try out all the other
designs without having the lack in color pay off.
Just as I was about done with my nails, something TERRIBLE happened... Oh, the horror!!!
My pink Cosmetic Arts polish came crashing down and
the top completely broke off spilling polish everywhere!
My life literally flashed before my eyes. A single tear
came rolling down my cheek.
This was so traumatic, I cringe as I'm typing this right now! I need to find some empty polish bottles but I honestly don't know where to look other than online. I guess I should go out to get some super cheapie ones so I can just dump out the polish in there and replace it with this one. But dumping out polish just sounds like it'll only add to the horrible-ness of the situation! Ahh well, c'est la vie. At least it wasn't any of my China Glaze, OPI, or God forbid my Nfu Oh bottles. I am guarding those with my life! Okay, onward to fix this situation STAT!
