Armed and Glittery!

Hello hello one and all! Let's get right into it, shall we? Today I have a special little combo mani for you guys. The base polish is from Essie's Spring 2012 Go Overboard Collection -- Armed & Ready. It's a fabulous taupe/grey color with brown undertones coupled with some beautiful copper/gold shimmer... 3 coats here but it could have been completely opaque in 2. I finished it off with a multi-sized gold glitter polish from a Japanese brand called Winmax in color #8.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend to boot! Thanks for reading lovelies! =D

Rivka Holografico Jenny

Hi everyone. So guess what? I'm sick. =( Sooooo sick. I have been for the last several days and I still am uggggh. I've been trying to get some rest and drink some meds but nope, still sick. I didn't want to go TOO long without posting so here is a very special polish I recently received from an absolutely wonderful friend from Brazil.

Oh man, she is sooooo pretty <3

This is one of my most favorite charcoal grey holographic polishes ever! I really love it. I hope I get over this soon because it's no fun to be feeling all out of sorts lately. Hopefully it'll get better ASAP! I'm supposed to go to Palm Springs with friends in a couple days! >_<  Lol, crossing my fingers for the best here. Thanks for reading you guys!

V French Stripes: Zoya Marina + China Glaze Millennium

Hot dang, I am back! Goodness gracious, my busy week is finally over. It has been so hectic for the past few days that I haven't had time to do much of anything! But all is well now and I am officially back to blogging... yay! So before I start with today's post, I'd just like to give a quick reminder to everyone out there that my 100 follower giveaway is still going on and you can still enter all the way up until October 15th, 2011. Click here for more details!

Onto today's mani... what I have for you is another scotch tape mani using two colors. My base polish was Zoya Marina from the current Fall 2011 Smoke and Mirrors Collection and China Glaze Millennium from the Fall 2009 Khrome Collection. Marina is a beautiful dark blue gray with silver microshimmer. The base polish actually has a slight streaky look to it that may show very minimal brush strokes but nothing that is bad in my opinion. Millennium is a popular silver mirror/chrome/foil color that has been around for quite some time. It dried extremely quickly! Please don't mind the outgrowth in my nails. I had this mani on for almost 5 days! Yes - I was that busy, no joke.

For some reason, this mani gives off a "Wonder Woman" type of vibe =P

I really like this mani but going on 5 days is already way too long for me hahah. I can't wait to take this off and put on a fresh new coat of polish! I wonder what color I shall choose hrrrmmm.... so many choices! Anyway, it's good to be back guys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend =).

Newspaper Nails: OPI Steady As She Rose

Hi everyone! It seems like every weekend has been so busy for me... no time to blog! But I digress... Today's mani is my attempt at the ever-so-popular newspaper nails that some of you may have seen floating around the interwebZ. Lol. So instead of a plain ol' gray, my base color was OPI Steady As She Rose from the recent Pirates of the Caribbean Collection.

This mani brought to you by Monday's Newspaper =P

Your eyes are not deceiving you, the text IS backwards, lol!

Yay for bottle shots! Steady As She Rose is an almost
gray colored dusty pink creme. Great color for the office!

For the most part, I really liked doing this mani - but it was kind of a pain in the bum! I know there are several methods of doing these newspaper nails and I didn't have luck with the "brushing the rubbing alcohol on" method so I just did the "dip your nail in rubbing alcohol and press" method. If I were to attempt this mani again in the future, I'd probably press a littler harder/longer so that the text would show up a bit more. And yes, the text is backwards because the newspaper had to go over of the nail, hence transferring any text over to be a mirror image of what was actually printed. No one is gonna notice that though, trust me! Overall, good times. Happy Monday everyone!

China Glaze Sea Spray

Hello all. So on my long list of untried nail polishes, Sea Spray was one of my long time lemmings but for some reason I completely forgot about it once I got a hold of it. Well I was organizing my stash the other day and the color just called to me. With all the recent crazy manis of Mythical Creatures Week, I decided I wanted to do something simple yet chic. This was the perfect color for what I had in mind.

Sea Spray is from China Glaze's Spring 2011 Anchors Away collection. It's a beautiful soft gray creme with a splash of blue. The blue is most apparent when compared to Pelican Gray, another soft creme in the same collection (and also another of my favorites).

I'm so happy I got to try this color. I should actually take a look back at my stash and put on some other colors that I've acquired and *almost* forgotten about. They're too precious to completely forget about! Have a wonderful day everyone. =)
