Blue Holo Funky French

Well hello my lovelies! How is everyone doing this fine October Sunday? Well, Sunday where I am at least =P.  I hope all is well at your end of the world. I, as you all know, have been quite the busy bee. Anyway, today I am featuring a mani I did some time ago but never officially posted about. It was a mani for Sara's blog that featured two awesomely awesome polishes that are just awesome (is the awesomeness clear yet? =). So here we go... pictures first, info later? Oh hellz yes!

Blue + Holo = match made in polish heaven

Nom nom nom, I love yummy pics =P

Moar pics for good measure! =D Rawr!

So if you all are wondering which polishes I used, the base is obviously one of the ever-so-popular OMG polishes from China Glaze. The color is 2NITE -- a medium blue holo that looked absolutely AMAZING in the sun even all by its lonesome (or shall I say awesome? =D). And the funky french was completed with China Glaze Secret Periwinkle from the Spring 2010 Up and Away Collection. Secret Periwinkle is a beautiful periwinkle as the name states -- but I found that it leaned more towards blue than purple. Hope this helps you periwinkle lovers determine whether is it worthy enough for your collections teeheehee. That is all people! Hope you guys had a great weekend ^_^

Happy Friday everyone! I haven't done any Konading in a long long time so I figure I should break out with it again. My skills were rusty so it honestly was a little difficult to get back into the stamping groove =). Anyway, here are the results. I used another CQ polish today called Slate for my base color. Slate is a dark teal that leans green and was opaque in 2 easy coats. I am really loving all these CQ polishes! They are absolutely affordable as well so if you have access to them, I highly urge you to get some =). My stamping of course was done by my favorite go to green - China Glaze Cherish! I always seem to use this color when I stamp with greens hahah. Excuse me for the bad stamping job, as you can tell I need to be stamping more to get this right! >_<

All you have to do is squint and it'll look alright! =P

It kinda reminds me of peacock feathers in a way hahah. The image plate I used was from the second Bundle Monster pack and it was number BM212. I should probably head back into the Konading world so I could brush up on my skills again =P. Alrighty everyone, hope your week has been going well. Until next time, thanks for reading and have a good one!

V French Stripes: Zoya Marina + China Glaze Millennium

Hot dang, I am back! Goodness gracious, my busy week is finally over. It has been so hectic for the past few days that I haven't had time to do much of anything! But all is well now and I am officially back to blogging... yay! So before I start with today's post, I'd just like to give a quick reminder to everyone out there that my 100 follower giveaway is still going on and you can still enter all the way up until October 15th, 2011. Click here for more details!

Onto today's mani... what I have for you is another scotch tape mani using two colors. My base polish was Zoya Marina from the current Fall 2011 Smoke and Mirrors Collection and China Glaze Millennium from the Fall 2009 Khrome Collection. Marina is a beautiful dark blue gray with silver microshimmer. The base polish actually has a slight streaky look to it that may show very minimal brush strokes but nothing that is bad in my opinion. Millennium is a popular silver mirror/chrome/foil color that has been around for quite some time. It dried extremely quickly! Please don't mind the outgrowth in my nails. I had this mani on for almost 5 days! Yes - I was that busy, no joke.

For some reason, this mani gives off a "Wonder Woman" type of vibe =P

This is the base polish, Zoya Marina, by itself

I really like this mani but going on 5 days is already way too long for me hahah. I can't wait to take this off and put on a fresh new coat of polish! I wonder what color I shall choose hrrrmmm.... so many choices! Anyway, it's good to be back guys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend =).

Gold and Purple Gradient Stripes

I'm on a stripes kick, what can I say? Today's lazy weekend post consists of 4 polishes. China Glaze Pelican Gray for my base color, OPI Simply Smashing!, OPI Grape... Set... Match, and China Glaze C-C-Courage for my gradient stripes. Those names... lol...

One of my really close girlfriends had a huge birthday celebration this weekend and I am pooped! So tired... must rest up before the new week starts up again. Thanks for reading all you lovelies <3

China Glaze First Mate + NYX Girls Gilded Glitter

I think I've been on a huge blue kick lately because I always seem to reach for blues when I'm browsing through my stash. Although my overabundance of greens and purples is really calling to me. That needs to be rectified soon. Hrmm... expect more greens and purples in the future... hopefully? >_<  Hahaha, anyway... today's mani is pretty straight forward. This is two coats of China Glaze First Mate from the Anchors Away Collection. It was pretty opaque and probably could've done with one good coat but I did two slightly thin coats because let's face it - even if something IS a one-coater, I'm gonna do at least two or more. I then blinged it up with some NYX Girls Gilded Glitter. I dunno how to describe this polish... I would call it a flakie but it doesn't quite carry all the characteristics of one. Maybe a hybrid between an irregular shaped glitter + a flakie? Total mutt status heh heh heh... I love mutts of all kinds!

 Oooohh... Aaahh....

So sparkly, no?

And of course your standard bottle shots

I think I've really fallen in love with these dark blue cremes. I have a good handful and I just keep accumulating more. Hrmm, maybe they just somehow multiply on their own. I dunno how they keep building up, honestly I don't... *shifty eyes* As far as the Gilded Glitter goes, I don't believe I have anything in my stash like it so needless to say, I was uber happy to find it at my local mall. It does come in a smaller than standard size - 0.35 fl oz to be exact... I may have to pick up another one since they barely even reached the $2 mark. Eek! My collection is getting out of control! Not that I mind....

Blue Rainbow Flakie Layering

Umm, yeah... I had no clue what to title this post. One reason being that it is ridiculously difficult to even give a name to this mani and another being that I am running on absolutely no sleep for the past 24 hours (probably more now). I'm quite delirious. One good thing to mention though is that my internet is finally alive and kicking! I had to make a bajilliion phone calls and kept getting transferred and put on hold and blablabla... FINALLY got some technical support to come to my house to get everything working again. Yay. Warning, warning: one million pictures ahead...

The final result of layering and layering and layering... (click to expand!)

Not my typical pictures but I thought it'd be fun to try out
something a little different. Yes, lots of pics to get these right.

The sparkles just make my heart flutter!

The many faces of this mani. It changed so many colors, there was
no way I could capture it all on camera. I wish I could show you
guys in real life! But DANG, was it freaking thick before it dried...

Okay now I NEVER take pics like this but I thought it would be
fun to show off my bottle holding skills. What do you guys think?
Am I a pro at holding polishes yet? Hrmm, I think I could use
a few more lessons in bottle holding to be honest =P

This is a result of staying up till the wee hours of the morning and being ridiculously judgmental and unsatisfied with my mani. I just kept putting more and more polish on. I have no clue how many I even used... it must've been at least 6 or more different kinds. What I DO know is that my base color was China Glaze Calypso Blue - the one I'm holding in the pics. I'm so happy the internet is back up so I could share this post with you guys. Gosh dangit, if it weren't for my phone, I would be dying without access to the internet. Is it bad that I was semi afraid to admit that? D= ... We are so dependent on the internet nowadays huh?! But I must say, without it, I would never be able to meet some of the most fabulous nail polish lovers out there. You guys are awesome! Thank you to all who have followed my blog - I appreciate it so much. I have several awards that I need to dedicate a blog post to but I need to save that for when I actually have time to write a nice post. Until then, I'm gonna try to function for the rest of the day without crashing and burning... =P
