A Reverse Glitter & Flakie Gradient
A quick post today. I like this one. I like this one a lot.

Different Shades of Blue: Island Girl 2019

Alright kiddies, it's time to play! I'm gonna lure you all in with my pretty polishes mwahahaha. Play with what you ask? Why, mood changing polish of course! Well... that certainly wasn't creepy at all =P. So remember how I hauled a handful of Island Girl polishes way back when? Yeah, I only featured... one... so far. But tis no longer true! Today's mani features another Island Girl polish with the most unique name in the world - 2019! (Wow, someone is in a really sarcastic mood today, huh?) I believe this is part of their permanent line (hrmm, do they even have limited edition polishes?) that is carried in all ABC Stores in Hawaii. And if I'm not mistaken, there are a few ABC Stores in Las Vegas too. Let's have a look shall we? Join me and we shall swim in the sea of this purdy polish!
Yes ladies & gents, she is a beauty with many faces. Many shimmery beautiful faces. As with most (all?) mood changing polishes, 2019 changes with body temperature. Sometimes, she'll be an electric teal-turquoise when she's feeling warm but she'll immediately change into a darker grey-teal when she's feeling icy cold. Do I sound crazy yet? Hahahah... As a final note, I'd like to give a huge thank you to my sink today for providing assitance with my mani. Without all that wonderful water, I would've had to do a whole lotta body temperature shifting =P.

Island Girl Honolulu Orchid
Hello beautiful ladies! Sorry it's been several days since my last post. Life has been very busy! So here's a mani I did last night that used one of the polishes I got from my recent vacation. Like I mentioned in my previous post, you can get Island Girl polishes from ABC Stores in Hawaii (and if I'm not mistaken, there is also an ABC Store or two in Las Vegas as well). Anyway, this polish is Island Girl's Honolulu Orchid. I don't think they really have any collections so you can pretty much find this all year round. It's a pink/purple creme polish that applies pretty well but I did three coats because I'm OCD like that. It has almost a satin finish once it dries but I topped it off with Seche Vite for a smooth and shiny finish instead. I did have a few nicks after I finished my mani b/c I was being rough without realizing it but it was nothing another quick coat of SV couldn't fix. Picture time!

Gosh, the comparison swatches really make this polish look like different colors under different types of lighting. I dunno whether to call this a pink or a purple. I think it may be safe to say that it's some kind of fuschia color? Yeah... I think I'll call it a fuschia to be safe hahaha. One thing is for sure though - it definitely does remind me of an orchid. I guess orchids have both purple and pink tones so this color is true to it's name heehee. Anyways, enjoy your Thursday people and thanks for reading! =D

I'm Back! + Some Hawaii Spam
Hawaii Spam - get it?? =D Hi guys! I'm finally back from my short little Hawaiian vacay! I went to Honolulu which is located on the island of Oahu. And yes, I *did* buy nail polish while I was there. What would you expect, right?? =) So anyway, these are just a few pictures I took with my camera phone along the way. If you're familiar with Hawaii at all, you'll know that there's an ABC Store (or 2, no scratch that, or 4) on every block! You literally cannot walk 10 steps without seeing an ABC Store - redundant? Maybe. But every store is a little unique in that each carry something a little different. There were polishes I found at some stores that weren't available in others. Anyway, onto the pictures! *Warning: a bajillion pictures ahead...
